Principal's Message
Today we enjoyed a fun day of school spirit as students wore black and orange and participated in our school dance this afternoon! Thank you to Ms. Anderson and Mr. John for organizing this Grade 8 Graduation fundraising event. It was a great event for our school community and a fun way to end the week.
Following up on the Limestone District School Board’s Preparing for Winter-Related Bus Delays and Cancellations 2026-2027 message shared earlier this week, please note that on inclement weather days when school transportation is cancelled, hot lunch for that day will also be cancelled. Refunds for cancelled hot lunch orders will be issued through the Lunchbox program.
A reminder that our next School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 10, at the school and that Progress Reports and Initial Observations for our JK/SK students will be sent home on Friday, November 13.

School Council
Our small but mighty School Council meets about once every 6 weeks to discuss events and fundraisers at Holsgrove, bring up issues with administration, and plan special opportunities for students and families. It is a great way to stay informed and involved in your child's schooling!
Our Holsgrove Council from 2025-6-27 includes the following executive members:

Our School Council currently has positions available for an Indigenous Representative and Members-at-Large. If you are interested in getting involved and helping contribute to our school community, we would love to hear from you! Our next SAC meeting is Tuesday, November 10th, 5:30-7:00, at Holsgrove PS. We will be meeting in Mr. John's Grade 8 classroom. Hope to see you there.
Hot Lunch
Our Hot Lunch Program is organized and run by our School Council (SAC) and provides families with the opportunity to order a variety of lunch options throughout the school year. Orders can be placed in Lunch Box. A big thank you to our SAC members for organizing this program and helping to provide this great service to our school community!

Concussion Codes of Conduct
All school boards in Ontario are required to have a policy on concussion safety for students. There have been some changes to LDSB Concussion Protocol this year which simply the Return to Learn (RTL) and Return to Physical Activity (RTPA) process and support a safe, gradual, symptom-informed return to school and activity. These are outlined in Administrative Procedure 142: Concussions, as well as a variety of supporting resources and documents that outline a code of conduct for students and families, flow charts to identify and diagnose a concussion and assessment and management forms. Please reach out to the school with any questions.
