Principal's Message

Hello Huskie Families,

It seems hard to believe we are in the month of June! Busy weeks continue ahead for this month with a wide range of school events scheduled. Please see posters below for more information.

As part of our ongoing commitment to school safety, students will be participating in several safety practice drills over the coming weeks, including fire drills and a lockdown drill. Our lockdown practice is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11th.

These practice drills help students and staff become familiar with safety procedures and ensure we are prepared in the event of an emergency. If you have any questions or would like additional information about our safety practices, please feel free to contact the school office.

School Parking Lot Safety - Important Reminder

Our school parking lot continues to be a very busy space, especially at arrival and dismissal times, with students walking to and from school, families picking up children by car, and buses loading and unloading. This creates significant congestion and requires everyone’s full attention. Please be mindful of the clearly posted “No Parking” signs, which indicate where parking is not permitted, and help keep traffic flowing safely. We ask all families to proceed with caution, follow signage, and remain patient so we can work together to ensure the safety of all students and community members. Please also note that City of Kingston by-law officers will be monitoring and enforcing these regulations.

Jump Rope for Heart

On June 12, from 2:00 to 2:45 W. J. Holsgrove will be jumping rope to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Last year we had a great year for donations raising $515.

We are hoping to raise as much as a school this year.
